 Young Artists 2016
   Opening Reception: Sunday, February 7, 3-5PM
Pay-what-you-wish admission during exhibition: February 7-21

Young Artists, an annual program at the Katonah Museum of Art for local high school students, now in its 33rd year, gives aspiring artists a behind the scenes experience of mounting a professional museum exhibition. 

Young Artists 2016 features artwork by more than 400 local high school seniors from over 43 high schools across Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Dutchess, and Fairfield counties. Participating students not only create the artwork, but also work under the guidance of museum and art professionals to organize, publicize, curate, and mount their own exhibition. 

Join us for the opening reception, celebrating the young talent emerging from our local high schools on Sunday, February 7

Congratulations go out to the Science Olympiad team, with Mr. Thiessen as their coach, won medals in 9 events and came in 6th overall out of 43 schools on Saturday in Byram Hills. 
The top 6 schools will compete at the state olympiad in Syracuse in March

We are proud to announce that Mantasha Khan, a student in Ms. Roura's  7-1 class, has won the Dr. Martin Luther King poetry contest.  Mantasha will be reading her poem at a special celebration to be held at city hall on February 18th, Congratulations to Mantasha and to Ms Roura!
